A Rhode Island woman was dismayed to see over five hundred dollars in charges on her Uber account for rides she did not take. Luckily for her, Call 12 For Action was able to get in touch with Uber and get the situation resolved.

According to Uber, the charges came as a result of a “password reuse,” which means that someone had stolen her password and was using her account on a different device. The company emphasized that it notifies customers when their account is used on a new device, and will refund money in situations where their account has been stolen.
