A Call For Action Sandlot. When a Toledo youth baseball team had difficulty getting the city government to mow the field, Call For Action stepped in to help the underdogs out.

Coaches and parents reported that the grass was getting so high that the team was losing balls and other equipment constantly. Making basic plays in the game was becoming difficult. Despite this, the field remained uncut. Eventually, one of the player’s grandmothers had had enough, and contacted Call For Action.

The city says that it wasn’t doing regular upkeep on the field because the team wasn’t properly registered and the city didn’t know that they were holding practice. The team says the issue has been solved.
